Our Staff

The Country Universities Centre Macleay Valley has four dedicated staff members who are here to make your education journey as smooth as possible. We are all Macleay Valley locals and are passionate about the opportunities that education can provide for our local community.

Adam Matchett – Centre Manager

Adam originally hails from the NSW South Coast and studied a Bachelor of Commerce - Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies from the University of Wollongong, where he went on to work for over ten years in a range of roles including student service, student recruitment, and communications.

Now based in the Macleay Valley, Adam is excited for the opportunity to assist students on their education journey. He understands the unique challenges that regional students can face and is always willing to help students in navigating the tertiary education environment and make the most of their studies.

Dr Paul de Ville – Learning Skills Advisor

Paul was born in regional Western Australia and has lived overseas and interstate for much of his life. He moved to the Macleay Valley six years ago. He has completed numerous degrees, mostly while working fulltime – so he understands the challenges of balancing life demands while studying. In 2010 Paul completed his Doctorate in Education at Curtin University.

Paul has worked for over 40 years in the Education and Information Management sectors. He is excited by seeing individuals engage with learning and is looking forward to assisting students in the valley who are on the often challenging yet rewarding journey of tertiary study. He will be available to provide academic support and guidance, especially in areas such as essay writing, study skills, and how to approach your assessment tasks.

Paul can be reached at lsa@cucmacleayvalley.edu.au, and is available for one-on-one consultations either in the CUC or online.

Administration Officer

Matthew grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney, spent 16 years in the central west and studied English Literature and a Bachelor Educational Studies at Charles Sturt University at Bathurst before moving to the Macleay Valley six years ago. Whilst he may be a familiar face, as he has used the centre as a student over the past four years and represented CUC Macleay Valley as a Student Ambassador on school visits, he is stepping into the Administration Officer role. Combining his experience in administration, IT, event management, and teaching; he looks forward to assisting students in the Macleay Valley in their unique journey of tertiary study.

Matthew will be in the centre daily, attending to general administration and support for students and the CUC MV team. Whether you need help accessing technology in the centre, finding the right person to help on an issue, booking a room, or arranging an event, he will be available to assist you.
